"Dear Mala,
I read your blog a lot. I like it but I notice that you never write about anything serious. You always write about partying and drinking and yourself. I was wondering if you plan on blogging about serious issues. You write real well so I would like to see your opinion on the state of the world today. There is so much going on in politics and the city that you could talk about. Just a suggestion.
Sincerely,
Avid Reader"
Ah Dearling,
First, a correction: The correct word usage... "You write real well" is horrendous grammar unless you intended to mangle the phrase. "Really" is the proper word.
Second, my thanks: Glad you stopped by.
Now, how do I answer you in the most appropos fashion? By saying that Blogger offers a service which allows anyone to sign up and create their own blog. As you see, this is my blog. Operative idea? Mine. I am an unabashed attention whore and drama queen. I write about what moves me. My thoughts, my dreams, my fool-hardy behavior. This blog is the precursor to an entire site dedicated to the rantings of an autodidactic city nomad. A world view through my eyes. I am not the spearhead of any movement other than my own. I find it funny that anyone would want me to broach subjects deemed by them to be meaningful in a digital world that sits gap-faced in front of a glowing screen to follow the antics of daft fools that the network presents to us as reality. This is uniquely my reality. You want serious? Go to CNN.com. Seriously.
Here at Gale Force you will be forced to deal with my wanton desires, fickle love, shoe collection, drunken debauchery (or lack thereof), idiosyncracies and daily adventures. And one day should I decide to discuss the difficulty of aquiring health care in one of the most unhealthy countries on earth or our wayward youth provided with more than they need, dressed to the nines without a solid thought rattling around in their empty heads acting like caged animals on the streets, I shall. Until then, this is my forum to promote myself... in all my garish glory.
Yup.
With that being said, sweetness, enjoy the blog or go read something else.
Forever,
Mala
P. S. The rainy day is for being scantily clad, lying next to someone with a smile on my face. Too bad I'm working. But writing, even if not for myself, has it's own rewards. On with the day...
