Gonna Be a Beautiful Night!!!

Wednesday night, theme song: Sinnerman

Phone calls from the brink:
My daughter is one of the funniest people I know. I called her last night (she’s abroad) just to check up on my clone and see what’s what in the world of a budding girl. And it went a little something like this, hit it:
Me: Hey baby
Her: Hey mommy
Me: What’s going on?
Her: Nothing
Me: Whatcha doin?
Her: Just resting
Me: Resting from what? A long day at the factory?
Her: Moooooooooo-ooooooooom. Kids get tired too! I went to school, then I came home and had lessons. Now I have to rest.
Me: Yeah, you need your rest before bed time.
~ skip random chit chat about some little boy at school that obviously likes her, swimming, her new bathing suit, the fact that she’s upset that she got 1 wrong on her last math test and all the stuff I’m supposed to buy her when she comes home. ~
Her: Ok mom I have to go
Me: What, you got a hot date?
Her: Moooooooooo-oooooooom! I don’t have a date. I don’t want to use up all of my minutes. ~ blame my mom for buying her that damn prepaid ~ You talk a lot. If I don’t tell you now, you’ll just keep talking.

Out of the mouths of babes. Sheesh.

Thursday, wee hours, theme song: Just a touch of love

So after having my face handed to me by my own kid, I sat and giggled for a long time. Don’t you just hate it when your kid is right? I took nice, long, hot bubble bath and tucked myself in. Luckily, Canis Hornious didn’t rear its strange head. Thank goodness for small favors, since attempting to peak can be a tiresome endeavor.

Thursday, all day, theme song, Monkey banana

I’m excited. I can’t even express it. The funny thing is; nothing much is doing. Well I am looking forward to Saturday night, me having an excuse to run around in public in my drawers and generally enjoying FunkFace. I am also looking forward to tonight. No biggie. It’s not like I have a hot date or anything. But I am going to Jump&Funk at S.O.B.’s tonight to hear Rich Medina spin. Something about knowing that I am going to hear some fantastic music played and hang out with some good people has me all a-flutter. Not to mention I came across a dress the other day on one of my many jaunts about the city and I’m going to wear it to usher in the summer. Can you say “BARE as you dare”? I hope Bee doesn’t get stuck at the toll plaza again. I can’t wait to hear how Pachino’s week has been going. Maybe something interesting will happen because every day is a new adventure. I’m excited that I am going to swing my hips, kick up my feet, snap my fingers and just have some fun. Y’all should come join me. It’s the simple things in life, I swear it is

- n I’m out
